Job summary

dsm-firmenich Midrand, South Africa is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team, drive equipment reliability, and keep production flowing in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

You will plan maintenance using CMMS and Excel, enforce GMP and HACCP standards, manage spares and safety protocols, and champion continuous improvement with KPIs to deliver reliability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Trade certification as Millwright and supervisory experience in FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Strong CMMS proficiency and knowledge of FMCG equipment.
• Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, and HSE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance technicians, assign daily tasks and ensure quality execution.
• Own maintenance schedule using CMMS/Excel and maintain asset history.
• Respond to breakdowns, troubleshoot safely, minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, HSE and hygiene standards.
• Control spares, tools, and suppliers while enforcing LOTOTO and permits.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement KPIs.
