Job description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies require a Floor Supervisor for their Blue Route store. Ensure Merchandisers adheres to Dis-Chem's customer policies and procedures when dealing with customers. Ensure basic Dis-Chem merchandising standards are maintained. Ensure that Merchandisers are giving proper customer service training.

Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience
  • Computer literate – MS Office
  • Willing and able to work retail hours
Advantageous
  • Supervisor experience
Job Specification
  • Maintain merchandising standards
  • Restock merchandise as per business requirements
  • Regulate stock in storeroom, and stock received from suppliers
  • Understand rate of sale to determine over or under stock
  • Ensure stock counts are carried out accurately and timeously
  • Ensure daily price update labels are actioned, and that labels and pricing are correct at all times
  • Manage daily physical upkeep of store and merchandise displays
  • Ensure relevant human resource documents are in order and submitted on time
  • Ensure performance management policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Uphold merchandising policy and procedure standards
  • Provide friendly and helpful service to all customers
  • Ensure all customer stock queries are addressed effectively
  • Ensure proper floor coverage of staff
  • Ensure promotional displays and signage are set up and removed timeously
Competencies
  • Knowledge of Dis-Chem’s merchandising standard and FMCG experience
  • Able to give and follow through with instructions
  • Lead by example
  • Working with planograms
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Effective engagement with customers, management, staff, head office and representatives
  • Provide constant feedback to Store Manager
