Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Flight Dispatcher Assistant (Entry Level) to support our aviation operations in South Africa. As a Flight Dispatcher Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting licensed flight dispatchers to ensure safe, legal, and efficient flight operations. You will work closely with flight crews, operations personnel, and air traffic control to contribute to the smooth execution of daily flight plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of flight plans in accordance with aviation regulations and company policies.

  • Monitor weather conditions, NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen), and other operational information relevant to flight safety.

  • Collaborate with flight dispatchers to analyze routes, fuel requirements, and alternate airports.

  • Maintain communication with pilots before and during flights to provide updates and support.

  • Track and update flight statuses using internal systems.

  • Assist with compiling post-flight reports and maintaining operational records.

  • Ensure compliance with local and international aviation safety regulations.

  • Support general administrative tasks within the dispatch department.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Matric Certificate or equivalent (Essential)

  • Basic knowledge of aviation terminology and concepts (Preferred but not required)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive environment

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities

  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
