Fleet Manager position availablein Germiston.

Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and manage their company fleet of approximately 240 vehicles (cars and bakkies) across multiple provinces.

The successful candidate will ensure efficient fleet operations, cost control, and compliance with all legal and safety requirements.

Salary: R35,000 to R45,000 depending on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the company fleet, ensuring vehicles are serviced, maintained, and in optimal condition.
• Monitor vehicle utilisation, mileage, and fuel consumption to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement and enforce fleet policies, procedures, and compliance with road traffic regulations.
• Coordinate vehicle procurement, disposal, and replacement planning.
• Manage contracts with suppliers, leasing companies, and maintenance service providers.
• Ensure all fleet documentation, including registration, licensing, and insurance, is accurate and up to date.
• Monitor and report on fleet performance metrics, including costs, incidents, and downtime.
• Lead and manage a team of drivers and support staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Respond to and resolve fleet-related issues or emergencies promptly.

Requirements:

• Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification in logistics, transport management, or business administration is advantageous.
• 5+ years of experience managing a large vehicle fleet, preferably across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management, vehicle maintenance, and road transport regulations.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence (preferably Code 08 or higher) and willingness to travel across provinces.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office applications.
