Placements24 is seeking a responsible Fleet Driver to support agricultural operations in the Mossel Bay area. The role involves operating light trucks and vans to transport equipment, supplies, and personnel across surrounding agricultural zones.

A strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety standards, and knowledge of local farming communities is essential. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, conducting basic vehicle maintenance, and keeping accurate usage logs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (Code 8/EB or higher) is required.
• Experience driving light trucks or similar vehicles in rural/agricultural settings preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and minor repairs helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate light commercial vehicles and utility trucks to transport equipment, goods, and personnel.
• Assist with loading/unloading and secure cargo properly.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure readiness.
• Navigate rural roads and agricultural sites safely and efficiently.
• Maintain logs of vehicle usage, mileage, and maintenance conducted.
• Respond to logistical needs as directed by farm management.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a responsible Fleet Driver to support their agricultural operations in the Mossel Bay area. This position involves operating various company vehicles, including light trucks and vans, for the transportation of equipment, supplies, and personnel within the surrounding agricultural regions. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, adhere to safety standards, and be familiar with the local farming communities, ensuring the smooth logistical support necessary for our client's vital operations in the Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate light commercial vehicles and utility trucks for transporting agricultural supplies and equipment.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper securing and handling.
• Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on assigned vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
• Navigate rural roads and agricultural properties effectively and safely.
• Maintain accurate logs of vehicle usage, mileage, and any maintenance performed.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (Code 8/EB or higher).
