Job summary

A logistics company in Durban is seeking a Fleet Controller to oversee all aspects of fleet management, including productivity, route planning, and vehicle maintenance. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in fleet management, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in Excel. This is a full-time role, requiring flexibility in working hours. Remuneration will be discussed during the interview.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in fleet management (controller).
• Computer literate with proficiency in Excel.
• Own transport required.
• Willingness to work long hours, including public holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fleet management including productivity, fuel consumption, and route planning.
• Assign tasks to drivers and ensure task execution.
• Track orders and deliveries.
• Monitor driver and vehicle performance for productivity improvements.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and schedule services and inspections.

FLEET CONTROLLER

Job Summary

• Oversee all aspects of fleet management (productivity wages fuel consumption route planning etc)
• Assign and ensure execution of tasks to drivers
• Track orders and deliveries
• Constant monitoring of driver and vehicle performance and efficiency & find ways to improve productivity
• Co-ordinate vehicle maintenance to ensure the fleet are maintained including scheduling of services and COF inspections for vehicles to remain in a safe and roadworthy condition
• Monthly inspections and arrangements for services and repairs

Requirements

• Matric
• Computer literate
• Excel (compulsory)
• At least 3 years experience in fleet management (controller)
• Own Transport
• Sober habits
• Willing to work long hours public holidays and weekends
