Job description

The Flatter Masker is responsible for performing the preparation to spray paint and panel beat Scania vehicles, flatting, masking and polishing. To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Job Responsibilities
  • Flat and mask body, chassis and panels for spray paint preparation on vehicles booked in for repairs
  • Stripping and assembly of vehicle parts related vehicle preparation, repairs or finishing
  • Assist the spray painter with preparation for spray painting
  • Assist the panel beater with preparation of panels
  • Responsible for ensuring that tooling and equipment in the paint and panel shop are in good working order.
  • Prioritise Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Stamp on and off Work Orders (Job card),
  • Complete Work Order after completion of task.

Education and/or Experience

  • Matric will be an advantage
  • Exposure to flatting masking and polishing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks carefully and accurately
  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Able to work on own initiative and under pressure
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills
  • Code EC licence would be benificial
