Job summary

A leading mining equipment supplier in South Africa is looking for a qualified engineer to install, configure, and repair flameproof rubber tyred vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a degree or trade certificate in engineering, at least three years of experience in product support for RTV equipment, and be medically fit to work in underground mining operations. The role requires extensive travel to customer mine sites and involves significant communication with customers on product safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in product support role for flameproof RTV equipment.
• Medically fit to work in underground mining operations.
• English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, modify and repair products purchased by customers.
• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis of mobile mining equipment.
• Communicate safety bulletins and legislation updates to customers.
• Provide product improvement recommendations based on analysis.
• Support New Product Development with technical data from existing products.
