Tiger Brands is seeking a qualified fitter to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and repair of plant machinery. The role supports shift operations with emphasis on safety, reliability, and efficiency. Candidates should have a fitter trade test, NTC3 with maths and science, and at least five years in FMCG.
The position involves maintenance planning, OEE focus, and reporting duties in a fast-paced plant setting. Overtime and standby may be required.

A qualified fitter is responsible for ensuring that machinery and equipment are installed correctly, maintained efficiently, and repaired promptly. This role requires technical expertise in mechanical systems and the ability to work with precision
Provide specialist support to the shift-based teams during operations. Where requested assist as a functional expert in problem solving.
Partake in carrying out repairs on plant equipment as required on shift
Take part in maintenance planning meetings, contributing suggestions, clarifying work required and carrying out maintenance tasks and building maintenance programs
Operate in a safe manner at all times, identify and highlight unsafe work practices so that these may be corrected
Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out to maximise plant availability and OEE to meet targets
Ensure the various reports and administration tasks are carried out to support engineering and production
