Pick-Nik Marketing (Pty) Ltd manufactures, markets and sells tissue and hygiene products through Retail and Business to Business channels in South Africa and neighboring countries. Its Head Office and operational factories are in Gauteng, Kempton Park.

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

We are seeking a Finished Goods Warehouse Controller to oversee the complete cycle of finished-goods handling from storage to order fulfillment. In this strategic role, the incumbent will ensure precise inventory management, timely order dispatch, and unwavering compliance with quality and safety standards, all while contributing to the smooth efficiency of our supply chain.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA
  • Oversee the receipt and storage of finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
  • Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitor warehouse space utilization and optimize layout for finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with FIFO / FEFO.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels and movements.
  • Implement and maintain warehouse procedures and documentation.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise warehouse staff assigned to finished goods operations.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
  • Inventory Precision : Maintain over 95% accuracy through audits and cycle counts.
  • Reliable Fulfillment : Ensure more than 95% of orders are dispatched on time and in full.
  • Stock Rotation Compliance : Uphold complete adherence to FIFO standards for effective inventory flow.
  • Optimal Space Usage : Make the best use of storage locations for efficient operations.
  • Safety Excellence : Sustain a zero lost-time injury record and full compliance with safety audits.
  • Team Engagement : Minimize staff turnover by fostering strong morale and motivation. Ensure all team members receive adequate training, while actively monitoring attendance, performance, and development needs.
  • Quality Control : Limit returns due to packaging or quality issues to under 1%.
  • Accurate Documentation & Reporting : Ensure all inventory and dispatch records are submitted accurately and on time.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 or equivalent; Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and dispatch procedures
  • Experience in supervising teams and maintaining compliance standards
