Introduction

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Reporting / Accounts preparation Senior to join the growing Financial Reporting team of a reputable UK accounting firm. You'll work closely with UK colleagues while being based in Stellenbosch, offering the perfect blend of international exposure and local flexibility. In this role, you'll take ownership of preparing and reviewing financial statements under FRS. Managing multiple client engagements, ensuring high‑quality reporting standards. This role is ideal for someone pursuing the ACCA / CIMA / SAIPA qualification.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with FRS (UK standards; training will be provided if you don't have experience with FRS).
• Complete working papers and reconciliations to a high technical standard.
• Liaise with UK clients and audit teams on accounting queries and deliverables.
• Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies within the reporting team.
• Support audit preparation and review where required.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Pursuing CIMA / ACCA / SAIPA qualification.
• 2–3 years' experience in accounts preparation – essential.
• Experience preparing FRS accounts; local accounts experience will also be considered (training will be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounting standards.
• Audit experience would be an advantage.
• Must be based within driving distance of Stellenbosch (hybrid working model).
