Job summary

Communicate Recruitment is looking for a financial analyst to collect, analyse and validate data across financial and operational areas in Cape Town. You will monitor project costs, budgets and resources, and support reporting with forecasting and variance analysis.

The role requires a BCom in finance/analytics/accounting and hands-on Excel and Power BI skills to provide insights and drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as financial analyst, project accounting or data analytics.
• Advanced Excel skills, including large data set manipulation.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, and validate financial and operational data
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and resource allocation
• Track project time and expenditure to support financial reporting
• Prepare financial models, forecasts, and budget reports
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate cost deviations and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial close processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Improve reporting processes through automation and continuous enhancement
• Ensure financial data integrity and compliance with reporting requirements
