Proficiency in financial tools and strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans are essential for this role. The ideal candidate should hold a BCom Accounting or BAcc degree.

Qualifications

  • Experience in using financial tools (e.g., Xero, Pastel, SimplePay).
  • Willingness to assist with a variety of administrative and ad hoc tasks.

Job description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accurately capture financial transactions and maintain financial records.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow; liaise with CFO and CEO to align income and expenses.
  • Generate client invoices and manage relationships to encourage timely payments.
  • Understand payment terms and manage creditor payments.
  • Maintain online banking, set up payments, and ensure CFO or CEO authorisation.
  • Review bank statements to capture data, monitor charges, and reconcile accounts.
  • Prepare for annual audits and liaise with CFO and auditors for financial year-end.
  • Maintain organized financial records to comply with SARS regulations and company policy.
  • Manage company secretarial records and statutory compliance.
  • Manage logistic documents as required for tax and banking regulations.
  • Support day-to-day office operations including running errands such as picking up documents or visas.
  • Provide flexible support wherever needed to free up senior management for higher-level tasks.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in using financial tools (Xero, Pastel, SimplePay, etc.).
  • Drivers license.
  • Willingness to assist with a variety of administrative and ad hoc tasks.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • BCom Accounting or BAcc.
  • Experience with SARS eFiling and tax laws.
  • Experience with supporting annual audit.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
