Helderberg Personnel is seeking a Financial Manager to analyze data, identify trends, and provide strategic insights across the business in the Western Cape. The role collaborates with multiple departments to optimize processes, improve productivity, and support growth.

Responsibilities include monthly management accounts, period closings, cash flow planning, and compliant reporting. Strong analytical skills and experience with Excel/Power BI are essential for success.

Qualifications

• CIMA or CA(SA) qualification is required or advantageous.
• Honours degree as minimum academic qualification.
• 3 years relevant experience will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
• Exposure to financial management within the SADC region and international trade will be an advantage.
• Exposure to foreign currency and international payments will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Import and export trade.

Responsabilités

• Ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts.
• Responsible for the timely closing of financial periods.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity planning.
• Oversee creditors, debtors, and inventory management.
• Support the annual audit process.
• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain KPIs to measure efficiency of trading entities.
• Forecast using historical data and market insights for resource allocation and inventory planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, variance analysis and financial modeling.
• Prepare regular management reports and dashboards with insights and actionable recommendations.
• Identify and evaluate risks and opportunities and propose mitigations.

• Ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts.
• Responsible for the timely closing of financial periods.
• Oversight of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Cash flow management and liquidity planning.
• Oversight of creditors, debtors, and inventory management.
• Support for the annual audit process.
• Ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Performance metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure the efficiency of various trading entities.
• Forecasting:Use historical data and market insights to create accurate forecasts and assist with resource allocation and inventory management.
• Process Improvement:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and automation opportunities.
• Budgeting and Financial Analysis:Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial modeling to ensure financial goals are met.
• Reporting:Prepare regular reports and dashboards for management, providing insights and actionable recommendations.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities, and propose strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
