Role: Financial Manager

Location: Brackenfell Industrial, Cape Town
Role Purpose
The Financial Manager is responsible for the accuracy, reliability, and operational effectiveness of Tiny Kegs financial function. This role ensures that financial performance is clearly understood, that resources are managed responsibly, and that the business has the information and systems required to scale effectively. The Financial Manager partners closely with leadership and operational teams to shape financial strategy, monitor execution discipline, and support informed decision‑making. The role actively improves processes, strengthens data integrity, and ensures that the company operates with strong financial oversight while retaining agility.
Key Focus Areas
- Financial Control & Accounting Integrity Maintain a robust financial control environment that ensures accuracy, compliance, and transparency throughout the accounting cycle.
- Financial & Management Reporting Provide leadership with clear, structured, and timely reporting that supports performance monitoring and strategic decision-making.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital Management Maintain visibility and control over the companys cash position to support operational continuity and growth investments. This includes planning, forecasting, and aligning financial resources with strategic priorities.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the financial planning cycle by coordinating input across the business and ensuring assumptions are realistic and aligned to operational capacity.
- Cost & Margin Analysis Support profitability and strategic pricing decisions through disciplined analysis of costs, inputs, and margins. Understand cost structures in depth, identify inefficiencies, and guide commercial decision‑making.
- Inventory & Cost of Goods Control Ensure stock levels, movements, and production usage are accurately recorded and reflected in financial results. Lead stock takes, investigate variances to root cause, and maintain costing structures that support reliable gross margin reporting.
- Systems, Data & Process Design Ensure the financial and operational systems can support accuracy, scalability, and clarity as the business grows. This includes defining processes, implementing system improvements, and establishing standardised data structures.
- Reporting & Insight Development Shift the organisation from operating on static reports to using dynamic insight. The role focuses on building repeatable reporting frameworks and translating data into meaningful operational and financial intelligence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Development Build strong working relationships across the business and support the development of financial competence within teams.
- Governance, Audit & Board Reporting Support structured oversight and transparent communication with shareholders and auditors. Assist in preparing board packs, provide performance insights, and coordinate audit readiness with accurate supporting schedules.
