Qualifications

Job description

Boland Cellar, situated in the picturesque Paarl area, is a leading brand in the local and international wine industry. The company currently requires the services of a Financial Manager who is a dynamic all-rounder with strong financial acumen looking to grow their career. The successful incumbent will form part of the Executive Management Team and report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic management in collaboration with Executive Management Team
  • Financial management (e.g. budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, forex management, profitability matrix management, etc.)
  • Financial analyses and reporting
  • Management of accounting function (e.g. journals, reconciliations, audits, tax management, payroll, financial statements, etc.)
  • Management of financial policy, procedures and systems
  • Company Secretarial Function
  • IT network management
  • Production costing (e.g. contracts, capital expenditure, budgeting, etc.)
  • Analysing new product development costs and product costs in conjunction with the Logistics and Production departments
  • Managing HR processes
Requirements
  • Relevant post graduate financial qualification (BCom / BAcc)
  • Professional registration advantageous (CA / SAIPA / CIMA)
  • 8+ years relevant experience with proven experience in Financial Management (preferably in the wine industry)
  • Professional knowledge of management accounting and costing
  • Good knowledge of Companies Act, tax legislation & regulations
  • Good working knowledge and experience in managing IT (hardware, operating systems and applicable packages)
  • Practical business insight and intuition
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, WineMS & Navision)
  • Above average analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong strategic insight
  • Dynamic and self-driven
