Qualifications

  • At least 8-10 years of progressively responsible financial management experience.
  • Solid staff managerial and supervisory experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting policies, procedures and IFRS.

Job description
Job Title: Senior Manager in Finance

The role will support the Head of Finance and the CFO in the administrative, financial, and risk management operations, specifically on the Projects, managing daily operations, reporting accurate financial results, and implementing financial procedures to improve / maintain the financial health of the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management and Reporting: manage daily functions, ensure financial infrastructure stability, verify accuracy and quality of financial information according to IFRS and GAAP, implement performance measures, monitoring systems, and high‑standard reporting procedures.
  • Cash Flow Management: monitor cash balances and cash forecasts, track cash flow to ensure sustainability.
  • Reconciliation & Payments: review creditor reconciliations, authorize EFT payments, and support documentation.
  • Financial Communications: oversee issuance of financial information, analyze, interpret and communicate financial and performance data, provide financial advice and influence decision‑making.
  • Budget Oversight: monitor budget expenditure, prepare robust budgets, test assumptions, and present monthly management packs and ad‑hoc reports.
  • Supplier & Donor Reporting: collate and consolidate monthly top suppliers with BBBEE information, ensure vendor registration consistency, meet donor reporting deadlines.
  • Project Leadership: provide leadership in project management, oversight, and reporting.
  • Audits & Financial Statements: assist Head of Finance during audits, prepare annual financial statements, deliver donor and statutory audit support.
  • Stakeholder Relations: develop relationships with financial institutions, auditors, vendors, and funders to maintain good working relations.
  • Risk Management: understand and mitigate key financial risk elements, report risks to the DCFO, and support corrective actions.
  • Record Keeping: maintain records to meet auditor and government service requirements.
