Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Finance Manager based in Johannesburg North. This hybrid role involves leading the finance function across multiple entities, managing financial reporting, cash flow, and ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate will have a finance degree, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership skills in FMCG or distribution environments. Competitive salary offered.

Qualifications

  • Ensure full statutory and tax compliance.

📍 Based in Johannesburg North | Hybrid Role

A well-established FMCG and distribution group is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function across multiple entities and brands. I am looking for someone who can lead a team with strong people management.

This role is ideal for a dynamic finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment and has proven experience in FMCG, warehousing, or distribution operations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead month‑end financial reporting and present accurate financial results to management.
  • Manage cash flow forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee trade finance, creditor / debtor control, and reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure full statutory and tax compliance.
  • Manage inventory, costing, and stock control across multiple warehouses.
  • Supervise ERP system integration and improvements (SYSPRO preferred).
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management packs, and board reporting.
  • Partner with directors on financial planning, risk management, and business growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure operational excellence.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Finance degree- essential.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a finance management or senior accounting role.
  • Proven track record in FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Strong systems experience (SYSPRO preferred).
  • Experience with stock control- essential.
  • Hands‑on, deadline‑driven leader with excellent communication and attention to detail.
