Job description
Introduction

Our client, a well-established and growing FSP based in the outskirts of Soweto is seeking a Financial Manager to take charge of the company's financial reporting and manage a small financial team.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of end-to-end accounting functions, as well as tax and payroll functions.

The position reports to the CEO.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, income tax, PAYE and other statutory requirements
  • Capturing and allocating of invoices
  • Reconciling of transactions
  • Preparing management accounts and financial reports
  • General bookkeeping
  • Work with Account Executives to track project costings and management
  • Debtors and Creditors management
  • Draft monthly cashflow budget
  • Prepare and submit all relevant tax and payroll returns
  • All SARS e-Filing
  • Handle supplier payments
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting
  • Completed articles advantageous
  • Minimum 5 year's experience in a similar role
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in accounting software including Pastel, Xero and Payscale
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills

Package & Remuneration

Salary is R R CTC per annum, negotiable on experience.
