Role and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial reports.
  2. Coordinate and submit annual budgets to the Holding Company.
  3. Conduct variance analysis on monthly management accounts.
  4. Manage day-to-day financial matters, including:
    1. Assisting in managing the debtors' book.
    2. Controlling and reconciling monthly and annual rebates with all suppliers.
    3. Reconciliation of rebates due to the General Ledger account.
    4. Ensuring back-end supplier support, discounts, and rebates are received as per agreements.
    5. Monitoring supplier spend in relation to rebates based on set targets.
    6. Managing monthly accruals and creditors.
    7. Maintaining and reconciling the General Ledger as required for reporting.
    8. Handle VAT and income tax calculations, reconciliations, and submissions to reporting accountants.
    9. Ensure compliance with government-required statistics and assist with year-end audits.
    10. Reconcile inventory and analyze inventory aging to reduce holding periods.
    11. Manage bookkeeping staff and recommend financial actions by identifying risks and areas for improvement.
    12. Substantiate financial transactions through sound analysis.
    13. Maintain internal controls by developing policies and procedures.
    14. Guide and coordinate activities of accounting clerical staff.
    15. Reconcile financial discrepancies and analyze account information.
    16. Follow internal controls to maintain financial security.
    17. Analyze financial data to identify operational issues, inefficiencies, or costs.
    18. Implement effective solutions and proactively drive process improvements and cost savings.
    19. Perform any additional finance-related responsibilities as directed.
