About the Role

They are urgently seeking a Financial Manager / Senior Bookkeeper (Preference on Female candidates) to oversee the full financial function across four companies within the group.The role requires someone hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive, capable of bringing structure and efficiency while leading a small finance team of two clerks.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the full accounting function for four entities within the group.
  • Supervise and mentor two financial clerks supporting the finance department.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure timely reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Handle VAT, PAYE, provisional tax, and income tax submissions.
  • Prepare audit files and manage annual audit processes.
  • Oversee creditors, debtors, and bank reconciliations.
  • Develop and refine financial controls, systems, and processes to ensure compliance.
  • Provide financial insights that support leadership in decision-making.
  • Manage a small team.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Qualification: B Accounting / Finance or a relevant bookkeeping qualification.
  • Experience: 5–8 years in accounting or bookkeeping, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience managing multiple entities within a group.
  • Strong technical understanding of VAT, tax, and monthly reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar).

Package & Remuneration
