Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of the RoleThe Financial Manager is responsible for the full financial management and reporting function of the company — ensuring sound financial controls, strategic financial planning, and data-driven insights.You'll work closely with the Managing Director and key business units such as Buying, Operations, and Logistics to drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.This role plays a critical part in developing and monitoring budgets, managing cash flow, and leveraging analytics and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making.

What You'll DoFinancial Management & ReportingLead the full financial reporting cycle from monthly management accounts to executive presentations and audited financial statements.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.Implement strong financial controls that balance compliance and agility.Deliver timely, insightful financial reports that drive smart decisions.

Business Partnering & CollaborationPartner with Buying and Planning teams to track category performance, margins, and profitability.Work closely with Operations and Logistics to optimise inventory and maximise store performance.

Data Analytics & Business IntelligenceDevelop dashboards, KPIs, and performance analytics that bring data to life.Translate trends in sales, margins, and customer behaviour into actionable insights.Drive smarter, faster decision-making across the business through data.

Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead and mentor the finance team to achieve excellence, curiosity, and accountability.Foster a culture of curiosity ,where insight and innovation thrive.

Desired Experience & Qualification

What You'll BringEducation : BCom Accounting / Financial Management or equivalent Experience : Min 5 years in financial management, preferably within retail.Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Solid understanding of retail metrics — margin, stock, cash flow, and category performance.Experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with excellent business acumen.Hands‑on leader with strong communication and relationship‑building skills.Advanced Excel and data storytelling capabilities.
