You will be joining Sakata's local financial team that focuses on providing clear insights to the financial standing of the company to empower Managers to make confident, informed decisions that secure the company's operational future.

You will follow the requirements defined by the Financial Department in conjunction with the greater Sakata group.

What will you do?

• Responsibility of financial reporting – local & international.
• Managing the local Financial Department personnel.
• Preparing & managing the year-end audit packs according to IFRS requirements and liaising with auditors.
• Completion of tax- and statutory returns.
• Performing the company secretarial function.
• Conducting Internal Audits and ensuring compliance with J‑Sox.
• Managing the credit control function.
• Managing the preparation of the budgets and forecasts.
• Investigating and commenting on variances against budget / forecast and liaising with management.
• Managing Capital expenditure and the Asset registers.
• Consulting with customers and distributors, as required.
• Compiling and managing adherence to Financial Policies and Procedures.
• Part of the executive management team.

Where will you work?

You will be based in Lanseria, just west of Johannesburg.

Do you fit this profile?

• Experience in managing a Financial Department.
• Strong IT skills (ERP / Microsoft advanced).
• Internal audit experience, preferably familiar with J‑Sox requirements.
• Strong working knowledge and experience in costing (preferably gained in a manufacturing environment).
• Experience working according to IFRS.
• A valid driver's license.

You are :

• Qualified CA with at least 5 years' experience in a commercial environment during which experience in preparing management accounts, compiling financial reports, dealing with tax and statutory returns.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Professional.
• Analytical.
• Able to work within deadlines, with good personal time management.
• A team player who finds it easy to communicate and collaborate within the team and with other departments.
