Job Summary

Benguela Cove Wine Estate is seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Manager to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on proactive and possess strong commercial and financial management skills. While experience in the hospitality or liquor industry will be an advantage it is not essential. This role requires a strategic thinker with solid experience in stock management, costing and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily financial operations of the estate.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
  • Control and monitor stock levels, valuations and related costs.
  • Implement and maintain effective costing systems to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Provide financial insights and support to management for decision‑making.
  • Manage cash flow, banking and creditor/debtor processes.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
  • Assist with audit preparations and liaise with external auditors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Proven experience in a financial management role with strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong exposure to stock control and costing.
  • Excellent understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Hands‑on approach with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in the liquor or hospitality industry (advantageous but not essential).
  • Knowledge of relevant financial software and systems.
  • Strong Excel skills including advanced functions, data analysis and financial modelling.
