Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to analyse data and develop analytical models for financial reporting, forecasts and risk management. The role requires fluency in SQL and familiarity with R, and background in a finance department of a large organisation.

You will map legacy data to new solutions and support monthly close and data migration activities. The candidate should have a strong financial understanding, experience with large data sets, and proficiency in Excel,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
• 5 years of financial environment experience.
• Experience with large data sets and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting systems/software such as Quickbooks/Sage/Xero is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acquire data from legacy sources and map to new solution using predefined logic.
• Analyze financial data to support forecasting, reporting and risk management.
• Collaborate with business finance to understand legacy data and migration needs.
• Prepare data loads for historic, parallel run and cutover phases.
• Assist with month-end processes and journal postings as required.
