Purpose
  • Maintain accurate and timeous financial and production records together with Budget and Forecast processes within the Spirits and Supply Chain division (NPD, Planning, Dry goods, Procurement, Warehouse & Logistics and Bottling).
  • Manage variance analysis and ensure appropriate improvements are executed. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting policies, inventory control, excise duties and other procedures within Operations.
  • The incumbent should ensure that the Financial Manager : Operations is informed on all financial matters for effective decision making and alignment across Operations.
Job Summary
  • Compiling of weekly and monthly management reports for the Spirits and Supply Chain division
  • Preparing and driving the yearly Budget and Forecast process for the Spirits and Supply Chain Division
  • Monitoring and reporting on Operational- and Capital expenses -Actual vs Budget
  • Variance Analysis and reporting on Price-, Production- and Inventory Variances
  • Ensuring timeously monitoring and closing of Production orders in Spirits and Supply Chain Division
  • Inventory Control - Monitoring and reporting on inventory procedures / controls, stock take and cycle counts
  • Implementing and monitoring of policies and procedures
  • Monitor and review FOB, distribution and import accrual accounts and rates
  • Alignment of BOM + Routings and wastage to actual processes
  • Development and implementation of new processes and technology to mitigate financial risks across Operations
  • Manage and assist with Co-packer, external- and contract bottling reconciliations, queries and processing requirements
  • Assist with internal and external auditors' requests
  • Process and monitor monthly accruals and invoicing for Spirits and Supply Chain
  • Assist with ad hoc financial requests from Spirits and Supply Chain Managers
  • Coordinate and reconcile yearly independent count and asset verification
Minimum Requirements
  • Cost Accounting qualification or relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years'experience in a financial role within a Manufacturing environment
  • Sound knowledge of Standard Costing
  • Excellent computer literacy (Excel / Word / PowerPoint and SAP)
  • Sound knowledge of Customs / Excise and returns
  • Sound knowledge of financial management concepts, principles, and procedures
