Financial Controller (Hospitality) (JB5743)

Location: Rustenburg, North West (On‑site – accommodation provided)

Salary: R30 000 – R35 000 CTC per month

Employment type: Permanent

A large hospitality resort seeks an experienced Financial Controller to manage daily finance operations, ensure strong controls, and deliver accurate reporting. The role supports the CFO with analysis, budgeting, and compliance while working closely with Operations to maintain financial discipline across the property.

Minimum Requirements
  • Completed BCom degree in Finance, Management Accounting, or Accounting
  • 5+ years of finance experience
  • 2+ years as a Financial Controller in a resort or similar environment
  • Proficient in accounting software (preferably Sage)
  • Strong MS Office proficiency
  • Experience with PMS, POS, and inventory systems
  • Able to work extended hours during month‑end and stock cycles
  • High accuracy, strong control mindset, and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills to support operational managers
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, including journals, reconciliations, and invoicing
  • Manage month‑end and year‑end processes with full reporting accuracy
  • Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income audit, and cash flow
  • Ensure accurate billing for all direct bill accounts with complete documentation
  • Maintain strong internal controls to prevent revenue leakage and protect assets
  • Verify all revenue through PMS, POS, and inventory systems
  • Support the CFO with budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
  • Manage stock processes, including the 15th monthly stock cycle
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports
  • Provide operational managers with financial guidance and insights
  • Support internal and external audits with complete documentation
