Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Governance: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure compliance with IFRS, internal financial controls and policies, and audit standards; manage general ledger integrity and oversee accurate processing; lead audit processes and ensure timely delivery of audit requirements.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis: Drive the annual budgeting cycle in collaboration with department heads; prepare rolling forecasts and variance commentary for management and group review; conduct profitability, cash‑flow and trend analyses to support strategic decisions; provide insights on financial risks, opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Operational Finance & Controls: Accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, and cash‑flow management; maintain strong internal controls and implement process improvements where required; monitor cost structures and support cost optimisation initiatives; ensure timely reconciliations, including bank, balance sheet, and intercompany/group entries.
- Business Support: Provide financial guidance to management and operational teams; support commercial decisions with accurate financial modelling and scenario planning; assist with group strategic projects, compliance reviews, policy development, and reporting automation.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified CA(SA) – essential.
- Minimum 2 years post‑articles experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting frameworks.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and professional accountability.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
