Job description

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our newly established operations in Tanzania and help achieve financial efficiency. NB: Relocation to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania is required.

What you will need:
  • Higher education in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
  • Business savviness, interest in business development & management
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software and databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-orientation with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in English
  • Can-do attitude and ownership mindset
Will be considered as an advantage:
  • Previous experience in the fields of finance, business administration, project management and similar
What you will do:
  • Establish robust financial processes, internal controls, and best practices to safeguard assets and enhance efficiency.
  • Own monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Partner with local and regional stakeholders, providing financial insights and analysis to guide commercial and operational decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with local banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other financial partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Hub regional finance team to ensure smooth integration into Eleving Group’s financial ecosystem.
  • Lead initiatives to drive cost efficiency and operational improvements through data-driven analysis and financial insights.
  • Monitor adherence to local regulations and international accounting standards, proactively mitigating financial risks.
