Introduction

Our client is part of a leading international group that has been at the forefront of online programme management for over 25 years, with a presence in the USA, Latin America, Europe, and Africa.

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join a dynamic and growing organisation.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will oversee all aspects of accounting and finance, ensuring the continued financial health and compliance of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including bookkeeping, payables, payroll, invoicing, receivables, intercompany transactions, and tax.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions and reconcile key accounts in Xero.
• Perform month‑end closing and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial results.
• Liaise with finance officials at partners to ensure timely payments and resolution of queries.
• Reconcile significant general ledger accounts on a timely basis.
• Oversee monthly payroll preparation and ensure timely related payments.
• Work with the Group Financial Controller to prepare the monthly management accounts pack, including variance analysis.
• Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
• Ensure finance operations comply with company policies and statutory obligations (VAT, IRP5, etc.).

Desired Experience & Qualification

• A relevant accounting or finance qualification (BCom Accounting or equivalent; CA(SA) advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preference will be given to BEE candidates.
