Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Financial Controller to lead our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. As a key member of the Finance team, the Financial Controller will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the organization’s financial health and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work experience: Completed articles, 1–2 years post‑articles experience.
• Develop reliable cash‑flow projections, budgeting and long‑term financial plans.
• Analyse business activities to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Prepare monthly IFRS group reporting, flash reports, management packs and forecast packs.
• Provide weekly cash‑flow forecasts and daily cash‑position reports.
• Compile and draft annual financial statements and ensure timely tax returns.
• Maintain day‑to‑day financial operations: billings, accounts payable/receivable, inventory, banking, general ledger and fixed assets.
• Ensure adherence to IFRS, Companies Act and group accounting policies; manage external audit and B‑BBEE audit processes.
• Engage stakeholders, including funders, consultants, bankers, auditors, customers and suppliers.
• Supervise, manage and develop the Finance team; manage KPIs and support professional development.
