Overview

The Financial Services division is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mid-Level Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of this project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute daily financial accounting activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation.
  • Oversee and process all incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy, security, and timely execution.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budgets and 3-year plans (including variance analysis).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments in the broader group to perform intercompany reconciliations and seamless financial operations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Ensure financial records comply with company policies and accounting principles.
Job Incumbent Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a financial role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience with accounting software (preferably SAP) and financial management systems.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Understanding of banking regulations will be advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and reconciliation skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small, dynamic team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance, and provide appropriate direction to the business.
  • Ability to liaise on all levels.
