Purpose of the Role

The Financial Consultant will be responsible for supporting financial analysis and reporting by gathering data and preparing standard reports. This role will ensure adherence to financial policies and contributes to process efficiency. The key responsibilities will include managing the daily money market and client payment process, facilitating and co-ordinating, reviewing of supporting documentation (cash focus), processing of SAP journals and clearing, creation of Paper trail customers and clients, updating the AGT (brokers) spreadsheet. The role also provides support to the Procure-to-Pay function, including the creation of new suppliers on SAP, maintaining and updating supplier master data, capturing invoices and expenses, and processing or approving purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and service entry sheets in accordance with established procedures. Additional responsibilities include cost centre reporting, credit card administration and reconciliation, and providing support on a range of ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as required. This role is based in Cape Town.

Financial Reporting - Level 4 - Process Expert
Conduct routine tasks of preparing and disseminating financial reporting aligning with the organization's established protocols.Prepare and distribute routine financial reports, including cost centre reporting, applying established reporting standards and processes to support business decision-making.

Financial Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols - Level 4 - Process Expert
Assist with the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company complies with regulations and good financial practice. Daily financial operational processes, including money market transactions, client payment processing, SAP journal processing and clearing activities. Review supporting documentation and maintain accurate financial records. Support the procure-to-pay process by creating and maintaining supplier records, processing invoices and expenses, and facilitating the approval of purchase orders, service entry sheets and purchase requisitions in accordance with established procedures.

Regulatory and Compliance Management - Level 4 - Process Expert
Carry out a wide range of compliance monitoring activities and give basic advice on compliance and regulatory requirements. Apply and support the implementation of financial controls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and sound financial practices.

Organizational Risk Management - Level 4 - Process Expert
Gather, monitor, and analyze risk data and recommend further investigation. Involves using established risk management models, systems, and protocols and working under direction. Respond to finance-related queries from internal stakeholders and suppliers, providing guidance on processes and procedures while escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
