Financial Bookkeeper (Travel Company) – Pretoria.

Our client, a prominent Travel Management Company (TMC), is seeking a highly experienced Finance Bookkeeper with specialised expertise in the corporate travel sector.

Salary: R35 000 CTC based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile IATA BSP platform, nett remittance, overrides, and client prefunding/credit facilities.
  • Generate client invoices in Quicktrav, statements, and SLA-based financial reports.
  • Manage supplier reporting and follow up on GDS rebates and airline revenue agreements.
  • Liaise directly with senior finance staff at multinational corporate clients.
  • Process payments, banking, and manage the IATA E-wallet and business banking hubs.
  • Prepare and submit VAT calculations and basic payroll submissions (EMP201, UIF, SDL) to accountants.
  • Maintain operational spreadsheets and produce daily, weekly, and monthly financial tracking reports.
  • Manage client credit notes, refund registers, and reconcile 30-day credit accounts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of corporate travel client financial reporting experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on, practical experience with the Quicktrav platform.
  • Proven background as Finance Manager / Bookkeeper for a recognised Travel Management Company (TMC).
  • Demonstrable expertise in IATA/BSP reconciliation and airline override management.
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging with senior client stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial spreadsheet management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
