Financial Analyst – Real Estate Underwriting

Location: Remote (must work U.S. Eastern Standard Time)

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst with a strong background in real estate underwriting and financial modeling to join our growing U.S.-based team.

This is a fully remote position supporting investment and acquisition teams with detailed financial analysis, valuation modeling, and deal underwriting across various real estate asset classes.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of real estate finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to present financial insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for acquisitions, developments, and asset management initiatives.
  • Conduct real estate underwriting, including analysis of cash flows, market comps, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity scenarios.
  • Support due diligence and investment committee processes by preparing investment memos and valuation summaries.
  • Perform market research and data analysis to assess property performance, trends, and investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (finance, acquisitions, and operations) to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present dashboards, reports, and financial forecasts for senior management and investors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst with a focus on real estate underwriting and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in Excel-based modeling, including advanced formulas, macros, and scenario analysis.
  • Familiarity with real estate valuation metrics and financing structures (debt / equity, cap rates, IRR, etc.).
  • Experience with tools such as Argus, CoStar, RealPage, or similar is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be available to work full-time on Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
