Overview

Financial Analyst : Financial Planning and Analysis - Financial Services / Mining / Logistics Sectors Our client in the Financial Services, Mining, and Logistics sectors is seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst : Financial Planning and Analysis to join their dynamic team.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and senior management, providing strategic insights that directly influence business performance.

The successful candidate will contribute to group-level forecasting, reporting, and financial planning processes that drive growth and operational excellence.

The position reports directly to the Senior Manager : Financial Planning and Analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function by managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities across the group.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and models to support business decision-making.
  • Conduct variance and scenario analysis to assess business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and senior leadership to provide strategic insights and implement best practices in financial planning and analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and reporting standards while driving continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
  • Experience CA(SA) qualification with a minimum of 1 year post-articles experience.
  • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency; experience with financial systems and reporting tools essential.
  • Exposure to Mining or Logistics environments will be a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional analytical capability, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)).
  • Post-qualification experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or related finance function.
