Placements24 is seeking a sharp and analytical Financial Analyst to join their remote team supporting operations across Port Elizabeth and beyond. You will build financial models, forecast performance, and translate data into actionable recommendations for planning and decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of financial analysis experience, advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros), and solid communication to present insights to senior management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.

About the Role

This role is critical for providing data-driven insights into financial performance, supporting strategic planning, and enhancing decision-making across the business. You will be responsible for financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
• Support the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing budget management and variance analysis.
• Assist in the evaluation of new business initiatives, investments, and strategic projects from a financial perspective.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide analytical support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
• 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, macros) and financial modeling techniques.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
