Duties & Responsibilities
- Business Development & Prospecting: Drive new business growth through proactive cold calling, lead follow-ups, and cross‑selling opportunities.
- Conduct daily telephone consultations, providing professional and engaging advice to prospective clients.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to up‑sell and cross‑sell products, ensuring clients receive comprehensive and well‑rounded financial solutions.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, trust‑based relationships with clients and lead providers.
- Conduct consultations with new employees and exiting staff as part of the company's Employee Benefits Advisory Service, offering expert, individualised financial advice.
- Meet regularly with clients to review their portfolios, ensuring that their financial solutions evolve alongside their goals and life stages.
- Policy Administration & Compliance: Collect all necessary documentation to ensure smooth and compliant policy issuance.
- Prepare and process quotations accurately, maintaining alignment with both client needs and company standards.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are handled with precision and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Portfolio Management: Manage and grow an assigned client portfolio through proactive relationship‑building and consistent follow‑up.
- Attend to policy renewals, amendments, and debit order queries promptly to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in the CRM system and Google Drive.
- Team & Professional Development: Participate actively in weekly sales meetings and progress updates with the Life & Investments Team.
- Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to remain current with financial products, legislation, and best practices.
- Ad‑hoc Support: Collaborate with management and colleagues to achieve departmental goals and deliver exceptional client service.
- Perform additional duties as required, showcasing adaptability and a team‑focused attitude.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric Certificate (Essential)
- FSCA Compliant
- RE and NQF5 will be highly advantageous (depending on date of first appointment)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in financial advisory, life, or investments
- Proven ability to generate new business through prospecting and relationship management
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
