Job summary

Dis-Chem Life in South Africa places Financial Advisors inside busy Dis-Chem stores to connect with customers in-store and provide tailored financial solutions. You will turn routine store visits into meaningful conversations that protect lives and build trust while growing the business.

The role requires delivering compliant, needs-based financial advice, meeting sales targets, and maintaining up-to-date FSCA knowledge. You will work on the shop floor across retail hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Matric (National Senior Certificate) required.
• RE5 + COB advantageous.
• Post Matric qualification in FMCG, Retail, Business or related field advantageous.
• Minimum 2–4 years' experience in an advisory role within insurance/financial services or in a high-traffic retail environment.
• Proven track record in face-to-face client engagement and sales performance.
• Must be bilingual in one or more languages.

• Represent Dis-Chem Life with professionalism and approachability, reinforcing our reputation for care and expertise.
• Keep accurate records of client interactions and complete all required documentation in line with compliance standards.

Requirements

• Matric (National Senior Certificate) (Required)
• RE5 + COB (Advantageous)
• Post Matric qualification, Diploma or Degree in a relevant field (e.g., FMCG, Retail, Business, or related) (Advantageous)
• If previously registered on a License, hold Fit & Proper status
• Minimum 2-4 year's experience in either an advice-giving role within insurance or financial services, or in a high-traffic retail environment (FMCG, automotive, or similar)
• Proven track record in face-to-face client engagement and sales performance
• Strong interpersonal and listening skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for customers
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Reliable transport to and from your allocated store
• Must be bilingual in one or more languages
