Jeffart is seeking a detail-oriented, organised, and confident individual to lead the Accounts Department at our Cape Town office.The ideal candidate will be professional, punctual, and assertive, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to guide and support their team.

This role requires someone who is proactive, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities, while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage Accounts Department, including a team of 10 people
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff by providing guidance and assisting staff with queries
  • Manage full accountancy function, including debtors, creditors, invoicing and payroll
  • Compile and submit monthly returns to SARSEnsure smooth financial operations by liaising with other departments and by meeting departmental deliverables and deadlines
  • Drive efficiency and maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSA
  • a relevant post-school qualification in the financial field (e.g. Accounting) is required
  • 4–5 years' proven experience in a similar capacity
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry – advantageous
  • Experience with Sage – advantageous
  • Advanced computer literacy, including MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Clear credit and criminal record
