Financial Accountant Logistics
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly reporting packs and Exco meeting reports.
 - Support forecasting, budgeting, and maintain the fixed asset register (ensure Capex paperwork).
 - Help prepare audit and tax packs; manage audit process and staff deadlines.
 - Process monthly journals (depreciation, payroll, finance charges, leases, accruals, prepayments).
 - Capture monthly head office invoices and reconcile.
 - Analyze and maintain expense schedules; query significant variances.
 - Ensure completeness of monthly accruals and manage Accounts Payable ageing.
 - Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts; perform month/year-end close.
 - Calculate, submit, and ensure payment of monthly VAT returns.
 - Assist with costing analyses, daily revenue reports, and customer billing.
 - Oversee and approve wages, petty cash reconciliations, and credit card statements.
 - Track installment sale agreements and liaise with financial institutions.
 
Minimum Requirements
- Accounting degree required.
 - 3-5 years’ financial accounting experience preferred.
 - Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; good overall computer literacy.
 - Experience with business operating systems.
 - Advantageous: experience in the logistics sector.
