Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants invites applications for a Financial Accountant role in Stellenbosch. You will manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and payments, and maintain the general ledger.

Requirements include a degree in Financial Management or Accounting, completed SAIPA/CIMA/SAICA articles, and 2–3 years’ post-articles experience. Xero experience and accuracy are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Financial Management or Accounting; completed SAIPA, CIMA or SAICA articles.
• 2–3 years’ post-articles Financial Accountant experience.
• Experience with Xero advantageous.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• South African citizenship or valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable, receivable, invoicing and payments.
• Process journal entries up to trial balance and maintain the general ledger.
• Complete bank, customer and supplier reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Assist with monthly management accounts, financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Manage VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and WCA compliance and submissions.
• Support annual financial and B-BBEE audits.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasts, financial models and scenario analysis.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support management decisions.

Education

Degree in Financial Management or Accounting

Completed SAIPA, CIMA or SAICA articles
