Job summary

Network Recruitment in Cape Town is seeking a qualified accountant to manage monthly management accounts and financial reporting. You will assist with budgeting, liaise with auditors, and support annual audits within a commercial finance environment.

Ideal candidates hold a BCom Accounting or related qualification with SAIPA articles 1-2 years post-articles experience, and demonstrate advanced Excel skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting or related qualification.
• Completed SAIPA Articles 1-2 years post-articles experience.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial statements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Prepare annual financial statements.
• Manage VAT calculations and submissions.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Liaise with auditors and support annual audit requirements.
• Monitor cash flow and support treasury functions.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and statutory requirements.
• Assist with process improvements and finance projects.
