Primarily responsible for the accounting & financial activities of the company in accordance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. This includes :Reviewing, examining, and interpreting financial records and transactions;
- Technical accounting analysis and application thereof;
- Producing accurate trial balances for all divisions (franchise and equity operations);
- Reconciling and analyzing general accounts and producing meaningful financial reports for management;
- Managing internal & external financial reporting requirements in line with strict timelines to accurately reflect the organization’s financial performance, assets & liabilities;
- Ensuring accounting and internal control best practices & continuously improving the efficiency of financial systems and reporting;
- Building meaningful relationships with users of financial information, company bankers, and auditors.
Qualifications / Competencies / Skills required :
- B Com Accounting Honours - CA (SA)
- 3 to 5 years in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical & end-to-end reporting skills
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP; IFRS)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (especially in communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders)
- Excellent computer literacy skills (Microsoft Suite; business intelligence reporting tools)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to translate financial interpretations to non-Finance teams)
- Deadline-driven; able to work well under pressure with multiple tasks
- Experience with Oracle financial applications (JDE, HFM, FDM)
