Job description

Primarily responsible for the accounting & financial activities of the company in accordance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. This includes :

Reviewing, examining, and interpreting financial records and transactions;

• Technical accounting analysis and application thereof;
• Producing accurate trial balances for all divisions (franchise and equity operations);
• Reconciling and analyzing general accounts and producing meaningful financial reports for management;
• Managing internal & external financial reporting requirements in line with strict timelines to accurately reflect the organization’s financial performance, assets & liabilities;
• Ensuring accounting and internal control best practices & continuously improving the efficiency of financial systems and reporting;
• Building meaningful relationships with users of financial information, company bankers, and auditors.

• B Com Accounting Honours - CA (SA)
• 3 to 5 years in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical & end-to-end reporting skills
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP; IFRS)
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (especially in communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders)
• Excellent computer literacy skills (Microsoft Suite; business intelligence reporting tools)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to translate financial interpretations to non-Finance teams)
