Financial Accountant / Bookkeeper

We are a growing, modern and tech-focused accounting firm that operates on a hybrid basis (office 3x per week).

Our mission is to be the best accountants in the tech industry by delivering best-in-class compliance, financial visibility, and insights.

What we do– We provide a premium, full-suite, outsourced bookkeeping and accounting / finance function to SMEs, mainly in the technology space across the globe, including AI, fintech and blockchain companies.

Responsibilities
  • Import and reconcile crypto transactions into our in-house tool or off-the-shelf subledger software.
  • Reconcile fiat transactions, maintain the fixed asset register, and review balance sheet and profit or loss in Xero.
  • Sync Xero with Fathom, update and classify accounts to produce monthly management reports.
  • Join client meetings online to discuss management accounts and address queries.
  • Maintain client relationships – client-facing and problem-solving.
  • Prepare annual financial statements in Draftworx Cloud.
  • Reconcile payroll from the payroll system to Xero.
  • Submit VAT, PAYE, income tax and provisional tax returns.
  • Handle ad-hoc client requests and various reconciliations (creditor, debtor, payroll, fixed asset, balance sheet).
Qualifications
  • Bookkeeping or accounting experience, or SAIPA-registered accountant who has completed articles at a professional services firm.
  • Training will be provided on tools and software where necessary.
  • Client-facing, problem-solving and willingness to work independently; team support available.
  • Knowledge or experience with cryptocurrency or technology companies is beneficial but not required.
