Job Description

A well-established legal firm with over 60 years of history is seeking a hands-on, meticulous Financial Accountantto take charge of their business-side finance operations. Based full-time in-office in Cape Town, this permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, is comfortable wearing many hats, and thrives in a collaborative office culture. You\'ll oversee everything from creditor management and payroll to monthly reporting and financial allocations across multiple departments.

What you\'ll be doing:

  • Managing month-end processes, including reconciliations, VAT, and management accounts
  • Handling payroll, leave, and employee queries; including payroll tax submissions
  • Maintaining the asset register and performing depreciation and shareholder loan allocations
  • Overseeing supplier payments, cash flow reporting, petty cash, and office consumables
  • Collaborating closely with directors across cost centres for accurate financial reporting
  • Learning and supporting trust finance operations when needed
