A leading FinTech organisation in Johannesburg, is seeking a highly skilled professional Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for full-function financial accounting across multiple entities, including foreign subsidiaries. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional analytical capability, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, innovation-led environment.
Manage cashbooks, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets across multiple companies and in various foreign currencies.
Perform full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, including debtor invoicing, reconciliations, and customer relationship management.
Oversee monthly payroll processes, including salaries, wages, benefits (e.g. Retirement Annuities), and payroll journal processing.
Prepare and review monthly variance reports.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of all regulatory and statutory reporting.
Process PAYE, UIF, SDL and other statutory payments.
Maintain the fixed asset register and manage depreciation schedules.
Complete VAT calculations and reconciliations.
Process credit card transactions, monthly journals, and employee reimbursement expenses.
Prepare general journal entries (accruals, provisions, prepayments).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across the group.
Conduct analytical reviews and provide financial insights to management.
Assist with year-end audit processes and external auditor engagements.
Prepare and present financial reports to management and key stakeholders.
