About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and self-disciplined Financial Accountant to join our growing organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with financial reporting, analysis and various tax consulting services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and compile annual financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes for clients.
• Prepare and submit various tax and statutory submissions.
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Assist with internal control implementation, system reviews and audits.
• Process technical transactions and support clients on accounting enquiries.
• Assist in training junior colleagues and review accounting standards.

Qualifications

• BCom in Accounting or equivalent finance qualification.
• SAICA / SAIPA articles completed.
• 2–5 years’ experience in a financial accounting role (post-article).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax laws.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and a fast learner.
• Strong communication and time management abilities.
• Fluent in speaking English and writing English.
• Organised and deadline-focused.
