This role is responsible for running the financial and tax activities of the business, including finance, payroll, procurement, tax‑related tasks and supporting admin tasks to ensure completeness within required processes, procedures, standards and legislation.

Responsibilities
  • Support and administer all finance and accounting requirements of the business.
  • Act as a liaison between third‑party accountants and business needs.
  • Time‑wise capturing and managing customer invoices, debtors, creditors and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Manage cashbook and reconcile bank transactions.
  • Process monthly journals, VAT and PAYE submissions.
  • Oversee and process internal and external payroll aligned to South African legislation, including timesheet administration, tax compliance and employee query management.
  • Administer employee benefits portfolio (funeral policy benefits, medical aid benefits, contractor savings report).
  • Process individual tax structuring, reimbursements, refunds and claims.
  • Manage payroll calendar for clients, process tax invoices, quotes, POs and tax invoices.
  • Handle debtor processes: capture customer invoices, reconcile billable hours, allocate customer payments.
  • Handle supplier processes: capture supplier invoices, adjustments, payments, sundry suppliers, and save invoices on ShareNet.
  • Upload banks to cashbook, allocate transactions to expenses, customers or suppliers and follow up on unknown payments.
  • Monitor referral program emails, keep payment records, administer database, respond to referral emails, add CV info, track referrals, compile referral forms, ensure rewards processed during payroll.
  • Administer BBBEE activities: affidavits, preferential procurement database, skills development portfolio, HR coordination, calculations for verification.
  • Contribute to enterprise and supplier development: ESD committee, prepare agreements, social economic development, identify NGOs, conduct needs analysis, process payments.
Qualifications

3‑5 years experience in a financial management or financial controller position, strong knowledge of South African payroll, VAT and PAYE legislation, and ability to adapt under pressure.
