• Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience with Sage Business Cloud.
• Shopify / E-commerce experience.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Experience working with inventory and ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Preparing, submitting, and reconciling VAT201, EMP201, and EMP501 returns.
• Reconciling all balance sheet accounts.
• Maintaining fixed asset registers and ensuring asset integrity.
• Performing daily bank processing and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconciling point-of-sale transactions.
• Managing inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and inventory control accounts.
• Updating inventory counts, cost prices, and selling prices within ERP systems.
• Maintaining chart of accounts and inventory modules across ERP platforms.
• Assisting with cycle stock counts and inventory audits.
• Reviewing and reconciling intercompany balances and transactions.
• Ensuring financial data integrity across all ERP systems.
• Providing ERP and accounting support and training to staff.
• Processing and reconciling debtor and creditor accounts.
• Liaising with auditors and supporting audit processes.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.

Job description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing the full accounting function across multiple entities within the company. This role includes financial reporting, statutory compliance, reconciliations, inventory accounting, ERP system maintenance, and providing support to internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information while maintaining compliance with VAT, payroll tax, customs, and other regulatory requirements.

The role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong accounting knowledge, experience in ERP systems, and the ability to work effectively under pressure within a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
